I led UX and UI for a mix of clients, from established financial institutions to early-stage startups, often five projects at a time.
Key projects
Trust Company of Oklahoma (wealth management for seniors): redesigned the mobile app with senior-centric UX, larger touch targets, better font scaling, and clearer navigation. This reduced support calls related to navigation and improved retention with an older user base.
Zook Insurance (insurance marketplace): designed a decision-tree onboarding flow that turned dense underwriting data into a simple, step-by-step quote process, cutting drop-off during the quote phase.
ThumbStopper (marketing automation for local retailers): refined the dashboard UI so retailers with no marketing background could keep their local social presence on-brand without help.
Rippl (hyperlocal social app, formerly Echo): founding designer. Defined the brand, built the design system, and designed both sides of a two-sided marketplace: the consumer app and the vendor portal for managing notifications and analytics.
BayCare Health System: worked on HealthNav and EasyPass (see those case studies), plus UnMonsters, a gamified app that helps pediatric patients feel less anxious about hospital visits. I ran QA on UnMonsters to make sure it held up for young patients.
Across all of it, the constant was the same: take dense, high-stakes information (insurance logic, financial data, a child's hospital visit) and turn it into something a non-expert could handle calmly.
